April 23rd, 1919
It is some ungodly hour before the sun has risen and I am writing this in a rush. My premonition just came true. I awoke to find that my brother had slipped has hand over my mouth.
“’Mary, wake up! We have to go, Now!’” George whispers.
“’Why? What time is it, George?’” I shrug the sleep away from my brain.
“’Don’t question me, Mary. All you need to know is that it is an emergency and we need to leave right away. We don’t have time for you to pack anything. Just put your robe on.’” He lights the candle on my bedside table.
“’Just a robe over my nightgown?’” Im getting out of bed already.
“’Exactly. Don’t bring anything with you. Hurry. Into the coach in five minutes.’” George closes my bedroom door.
I don’t know what to expect. My vision has finally come true. Im not scared, though. My brother would never harm me and I feel safer than ever when he watches me. Im going to break one rule though. I am going to bring this book with me. Whatever is going to happen will be worth writing about.
PS- Perhaps I have gotten my brother back?
