June 8th, 1920

I have made a miraculous breakthrough! I have discovered that I can survive off of the blood of animals!
I was thinking to myself that I might have to move away soon, I can’t just kill off the whole town for my dinner! And of course my throat started burning AGAIN. It wasn’t that late at night so I went for a walk in the woods hoping, and at the same time not, that I would find someone out for a stroll that would end their life. But instead I found a mountain lion just biting into the neck of a deer! I smelt the blood. The frenzy began. My entire body tensed, My eyes narrowed, My throat burned. I extended my fingers, like claws, and walked forward. The lion sensed me being the superior predator and fled from his meal. Immediately I ran to the deer and bent down. I drank it all up!
After that, I was still a tad hungry so I went stalking for my next animal prey. While silently waiting, I thought to myself ’Is this really possible? Well, blood is blood no matter where it comes from. ’ And then I also thought, ’Am I the only one who does this?’

Well- am I the only one? Is drinking animal blood considered the lowest of low? I wish I had someone to answer these questions.
Am I the only one? The only of my kind? I haven’t heard of, seen, or seen any others. Maybe they travel in packs? Or maybe they are nocturnal, like the books?
Feeding off of animal blood is satisfying enough. I can tell that I am not as strong though. But if it keeps me out of trouble then I shall do it. I don’t want to be a killer. And I don’t want to be alone.
