At least some of us were having fun.

The phone rang three times before it was answered by a pleasant sounding young lady

“Michael's Special Limousine Service. We specialize in shuttling to any casino, sightseeing, out of town excursions, and special hidden restaurants. Jeannie speaking,”

I could tell she was a vampire due to our distinctive tones in our voices.

“Hello Miss Jeannie,”

I answered,

"Is Michael available?”

He is with a client; he should be done within the next half hour. Can I have him call you if don’t mind waiting?”

Waiting I was saying to myself…I am Marcus of the Volturi and you are telling ME to wait???

“Sure have him call me at the Paris Hotel and Casino, room 1659, my name is Marcus.”

“Yes Mr. Marcus. I will have him call him call you as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing us for your limousine service.”

After hanging up the phone, I had Demitri go and ask Iara and Piedra if they needed to hunt with us. While Demitri was out the phone rang, it was Michael, and I told him what I needed. In the meantime Demitri was back alone. I told Michael there were only two of us coming tonight, and he was to pick us up by six, at the same place he dropped us off.

When I was off the phone I asked Demitri

“Where are our guests?”

Demitri started laughing,

“They were at the craps table when I showed up. They said they would eat regular food, and promised it would be before 10pm. I showed them how to get more money if needed, and came back here; I am too hungry to not go with you.”

I found this to be humorous also; two days ago they had no idea of life beyond the rainforest and now they are having fun with the humans. Personally I envied them and others like them, that their needs can change so easily, and how well they fit in with the crowds around them. I would love to easily sit around humans, not killing them, and have them look at me as one of them. I think I would be very enlightened about their habits and lives. I shook my head and let go of my recent humanity.

I picked up the phone and asked to be connected to Alice’s suite. Of course she answered on the first ring

“Hello Marcus. No thank you, it was very nice of you to go to a place where animals are plentiful, but we ate on the way here.”

Then as quickly finishing the first sentence, she went on to say

“I don’t foresee any problems incurring with our guests, they are having too much fun. Edward has promised not to listen to my thoughts. See you at around 10. See you soon.”

And with that Alice said

“I promise to keep an eye out for them and make sure there are no problems, go and feed and don’t worry, bye.”

I don’t think I would be able to live with her at all. It was so strange that I didn’t have to say a word.

“Demitri, come let’s not keep our driver waiting."

The mountains were beautiful, as was everywhere Michael took us. I thought to myself that I would love to take Sarah here someday. It all depends on her strength around humans. I thanked Michael once again this time paying him for his time and giving him a tip that was more than he received in one week’s time.

I asked Demitri to go and retrieve the ladies and to bring them back to freshen up a little, as I was doing it already, and to be sure he looked good also and to meet me in the tower room, and to knock first. At least some of us were having fun.

“Master, I don’t think it is a good idea to go in by yourself.”

“I’m fine Demitri, honestly. If for some reason they destroy me I want no retaliation, they will be doing me a favor by putting me of my misery.”

Demitri just sighed.

“Demitri”

I was more stern when I was talking to him

“I did not hear you promise!”

Demitri answered

“yes Master, I promise.”

He didn’t like it too much, but he promised nonetheless.

Demitri and I left the suite at the same time. We parted at the elevators. I was going up, as he was going down. The elevator stopped and opened its doors and I was right into the room. All eyes were on me.
